Crisis Receiving Center

The Community Dedication of the Crisis Receiving Center (CRC) and Community Services Programs being realized on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

The need for medical health services have never been greater. Potomac District Supervisor Andrea Bailey, Prince William Board of County Supervisors, the champion behind working with her Prince William County Board of Supervisor colleagues to unanimously vote to move this project forward. Supervisor Bailey thanked her colleagues, community partners, organizations involved in operating the facility and providing the necessary services for the community, and everyone who attended the dedication event for the Crisis Receiving Center.

“When open in 2024, the CRC will help the most vulnerable in our communities. Make no mistake - the CRC will save lives.” Andrea Bailey

The event was attended by local and state officials and community leaders, along with the outpouring support from the PWC community. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin attended the ceremony and spoke to the crowd of supporters.

“I am so pleased to be able to join all of you to really acknowledge, but more so, celebrate the bringing together of so many different capabilities, resources around one vision, which is to have a crisis receiving center here in Prince William County that will fundamentally change the way services are delivered to citizens in Prince William County when they have behavioral health needs.”

“Now, this facility is going to be state of the art. This facility is going to be the template,” Youngkin said. “A facility that is not in a hospital setting, a facility that, in fact, is an inviting facility that has an opportunity for Virginians to come in and get help right now… a facility that works to decriminalize behavioral health services, a facility that provides support for Virginians suffering from substance use disorder, a facility that will be a beacon of hope for residents in Prince William County. And a facility that we want to copy across the commonwealth.”

This CRC facility is expected to open in late 2024, and it is fully funded. This is a great win for Prince William County and its citizens.
