Supervisor Andrea Bailey Celebrates Grand Opening of Expanded Inova Health Services in Dumfries
DUMFRIES, VA – Prince William County Potomac District Supervisor Andrea Bailey joined Inova and the Potomac Health Foundation today to celebrate the grand opening of a relocated and expanded care facility at 3800 Fettler Park Drive, Suite 301, in Dumfries. The new site brings together the Inova Juniper Program, which has served residents living with HIV in the Potomac District for more than 20 years, alongside three additional clinics designed to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community.
"For over two decades, the Inova Juniper Program has been a lifeline for residents in the Potomac District, and I am proud to see it grow into an even stronger hub of care right here in Dumfries," said Supervisor Bailey. "This expansion reflects exactly the kind of investment our community deserves — accessible, comprehensive healthcare that meets people where they are, regardless of their ability to pay. I want to thank Inova and the Potomac Health Foundation for their continued partnership and commitment to the health and well-being of Potomac District families."
Alongside the relocation of the Inova Juniper Program (IJP), the new Dumfries location will house three additional clinics:
- Inova Cares for Families (ICF) – primary care for adults and children (coming soon)
- Inova Cares for Women (ICW) – OB/GYN services
- Inova Behavioral Health – care for depression, anxiety, and related needs
By co-locating these services, Inova is making it easier for patients who are uninsured or who qualify for Medicaid, FAMIS, or Inova's Financial Assistance Program to access the medical care they need in one convenient, central location.
"Health care should never be out of reach because of a zip code or a paycheck," said Supervisor Bailey. "Bringing primary care, women's health, behavioral health, and HIV care under one roof in Dumfries removes barriers and puts the focus back where it belongs — on our residents' health."
Comprehensive, Wrap-Around Care
Beyond traditional medical visits, the clinics will offer comprehensive wrap-around services, including care coordination and behavioral health support. Inova's Community Health Workers will conduct outreach to help patients identify and connect with needed services, guided by Inova's Social Drivers of Health survey, which is designed to improve overall health outcomes for patients and families.
Last year alone, these programs served the broader community at a significant scale:
- Inova Cares for Families: 12,576 patients, 32,221 patient encounters
- Inova Cares for Women: 8,271 patients, 35,270 patient encounters
- Inova Juniper Program: 4,492 patients, 14,242 patient encounters
About the New Dumfries Site
The new Dumfries suite spans 12,099 square feet and includes:
- 16 total exam rooms
- 5 exam rooms each for Inova Cares for Families and the Inova Juniper Program
- 5 exam rooms for Inova Cares for Women
- 5 behavioral health therapy rooms
- 1 emergency food pantry
Once fully operational, the team will be equipped to see up to 87 patients per day.
Together, the Inova Cares and Juniper programs provide comprehensive primary care services, including sick and well visits, physicals, nurse case management, disease prevention education and counseling, psychosocial support, and care coordination.
"This is what it looks like when a healthcare system listens to a community and responds," said Supervisor Bailey. "I'm grateful for everyone who worked to bring this expanded facility to Dumfries, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the health of Potomac District residents for years to come."
