Dumfries, VA. – Governor - elect Abigal Spanberger – Announces “United for Virginia’s Future” Transition Committee. On November 14, 2025, the governor-elect selected Andrea Bailey Vice Chair – Prince William County Board of Supervisors and Supervisor for the Potomac District to serve on the transition committee. Supervisor Bailey is a distinguished leader within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the governor-elects transition committee,” said Bailey. “It’s truly an honor and I am prepared to support and help move Virginia’s future forward.” she said.
Under the leadership of the of co- chairs this committee will help lay the groundwork of Governor-elect Spanberger’s administration focused on lowering costs, expanding economic opportunity, increasing business investment in Virginia’s economy, and creating a safer Commonwealth for all Virginia families.
“These leaders are united for one purpose: putting Virginia first. They will help ensure my administration is ready on day one to begin saving Virginians money, protecting Virginia’s jobs and small businesses, and strengthening the security of our Commonwealth,” said Spanberger.
Supervisor Bailey is passionate about public service. Her leadership continues to expand across
the commonwealth as she was re-elected to the Virginia Association of Counties Board of
Directors, which represents 13 regions of the state. Bailey represents Region 8 along with other
county leaders.
