Black History Program Hosted by Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner
This morning Supervisor Bailey and her staff attended the Commonwealth Coffee honoring Black History Month hosted by Congressman Bobby Scott, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, and U.S. Senator Mark Warner. Supervisor Bailey was proud to meet and network among a host of culturally diverse leaders from across the Commonwealth of Virginia. Senators Kaine and Warner expressed their honor to be able to celebrate Black History Month for the past several years and to recognize the amazing contributions of African Americans not only the past, but the future of black history. "African American history is American history" said Senators Kaine and Warner.
Supervisor Bailey Attends Dumfries Town Council Black History Program
Supervisor Bailey was delighted to be one of the invited dignitaries by the Dumfries Town Council to speak at their Dumfries Black History Program at Little Union Baptist Church. It was an honor to share and touch on Words of Strength in Power expressed through music, dance, and words that aligned with the beautiful performances of our community's youth. Congratulations to the Dumfries Town Council for planning such an enjoyable Black History event!
